Back in home port.

On Friday 15 February I was released from The Canberra Hospital, 11 days after the Ivor Lewis operation. My sister Gina drove me home to my own home and bed. The surgery has been declared a technical sucess, the biopsy results look good and I am now into the phase of recovery at home. I am eating cautiously, still with some discomfort swallowing at the back of the mouth. Naturally I am sore and tender throughout the chest and rib area, and feel the effects of surgical rearrangement of my innards. I get easily tired, but can manage a walk around the block. I will update with more photos soon.
