At times I feel like one of those monsters trawled from the ocean depths, covered with scars and wounds of battle. Things are not getting any easier, but I am becoming used to the situation. The 5FU pump was changed on Wednesday, leaving just one more changeover to take place. Nursing staff at Zita Mary say that even when chemo stops there will be a two week runout while the chemo agents flush through the body. Only then can we look forward to a phase of recovery.
Here are some recent photos to make life sweeter. Cancer is a crap of a topic.
Benny and his Mum, my niece Vanessa. Benny swinging in the pistachio tree.
Pistachio trees outside back gate in early morning sunshine; looking up Starling Place. I planted the trees about 5 years ago. Parrot in the branches and magpie at base of trunk.
Nice pic of me, Lynne and grand nephew Benny on the haybale!!
A blog of my encounter firstly with gastro oesophageal cancer and later with cancer at the pyloric end of the stomach. Blog started 13 October 2007.
