One year gastroscopy returns all clear

Hello all,
Last Thursday I went across to the Brindabella Specialist Centre in Woden for a routine gastroscopy performed by Dr Chris Ashton. At least it is routine if the results come back all clear, which was the case for this visit! Dr Ashton advised no need to return for another gastroscopy until 2011.
I am generally feeling OK, but do suffer from waking headaches on a regular basis. Headaches are one listed known side effect from taking the PPI drug Pariet. I am presently on 20mg/day, but will switch to a maintenance dose of 10mg/day and see if that helps.
I am a little despondent when I read of the deteriorating condition of fellow cancer sufferer Peter Garas. I must get over to see him and Leanne some time soon.

Dear Peter,

We are so pleased to hear that you have got another All Clear. Rcahel and I have booked flights to come to Oz later this year (well 27 + 29 DEC09 to be exact).

We continue to think about you.

Kindest regards
Kevin and Rachel
