Canberra and cancer are in a galaxy far far away!!!

Ready to strike a match.

Hello all;

Lynne and I have just returned to hot Canberra after an idyllic five days away at the NSW south coast. We rented a luxury cabin at Lakesea Park, on a site wedged between the ocean and Durras Lake. Out of mobile phone contact and surrounded by the wonderful sights and sounds of the Murramarang National Park. Sand dunes, surf, sun, shadow all worked their magic. I felt really fine apart from bouts of stomach ache. Floating in the sea I was left amazed that a world that could turn on such a stunning display of beauty could also serve up cancer...but I guess it is all part of the fabric of existence. There were moments when I would have been happy just to drift away with the tide and become a part of the flotsam of the ocean. See some pix to capture the flavour of the moment!!

Today I turned up another website at

http://www.ciap.health.nsw.gov.au/hospolic/stvincents/1993/a07.html which gives the nursing perspective on caring for patients after Ivor Lewis surgery. My preadmission clinic has been completed at The Canberra Hospital, and I will be admitted at 14h00 on Monday 4 February.
