Journey from stormy seas to safe harbour

Peter spent eight hours in theatre today and was discharged into a four bed area of Intensive Care this evening. Today's trip resulted in his body being linked up to lots of equipment to monitor progress and support him for now. Peter had an epidural block and was not in pain when I saw him. He was awake and made a few comments and asked a few questions. He gave the thumbs up signal as I left him.

Many thanks for all the phone calls, visits, and emails from the caring friends and family we have around us. I will make further entries on Peter's journey.
