Today I visited my local GP, Dr Michael Brown, to review progress. Recent X-ray of the chest confirmed clinical diagnosis by Dr Bill Burke that all evidence of pneumonia has gone. This episode is now closed.
Dr Brown had a more detailed report of my gastroscopy, including results of biopsy and pathology, which revealed no evidence of any cancer. Dr Brown gave me prescription for 6 months of Pariet 20mg PPI tablets.
On Tuesday night Lynne & I went out for dinner at the local club on the occasion of our 36th wedding anniversary. Our new inlaws, Gail & Roger Kirkup, joined us on the spur of the moment. I excelled in the eating department and handled a full meal of crumbed and fried seafood. Appetite, taste, smell and capacity for food have all returned with gusto. Today I recorded 74 kg on the doctor's scales, and I am putting weight back on.
On a sad note our family cat of 10 years, Max, was put down with an incurable cancer. It was a tearful moment as we buried him in the back garden. He had lead a good life with us and was aged 14
