Stent not working

'and after he [Saul] had eaten, his strength came back' Acts Ch 9, v19

Saul went three days without food or water. Fundamentally I have not taken any nourishment in for three weeks. I have lost 10kg and my ribs are showing and , for the first time in two years I can see the tubing running in my chest to the portacath. Yesterday a barium meal and X-ray at Calvary Medical Imaging showed a blocked stent. This was the picture after a 20 minute rest. Barely a trickle of the white barium meal is running through the stent.

Today we saw Dr Thomson for consultation. He even produced an example of the fully expanded stent which was remarkably similar to garden hosing. An appointment is scheduled for tomorow at Calvary where he will attempt to either unblock the first stent or put in a new [second] stent. Given the wide aperture of the stent I am quite surprised that anything could actually block it. He thinks that perhaps he put it too close to the cancer and that has somehow pressed against the stent to block it.
I felt really bad last night. Vomitted again...everything eaten & drunk in the course of the day came up. Starting to feel weak , hungry & thirsty.
It is a hard road we follow, but follow it we must to the end.
