The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh. Eccl 4 v5
So, the last few days have been very grim. Two nights in a row I have spewed up from the depths of my stomach seemingly all the food, drink & more eaten during the day. There had been no bowel movements to indicate that food is in any way getting through the pyloric stent and into the intestine.....until about 15 minutes ago when at last I produced a nice crop of marble sized nuggets. Really, I am still in a state of uncertainty about whether this stent will work or not, but at least now I have some hope. It is really a matter of me putting food relentlessly into my mouth; the act of spewing has become rather ho-hum; its all over in a few minutes and you feel better after. Its just the build up that is painful and the sense that no nutrition is getting through.
I continue to show off my skin and bones to anyone who wants to see. Weight 65 kg. Enjoyed a wonderful visit from sister Rebecca from Sydney; she is a healing force. She makes a mean leek & potato soup!!!Sister Gina also was here and with us all for a birthday dinner for our neice Vanessa.
Today enjoyed a delightful trip into the country for the Collector pumpkin festival with Rebecca, Lynne & Reg Sewrey. Beautiful day, wonderful crowd. My back was sore, so I sat at a table and just was entertained by the passing parade and conversation.
Dr Brown next Wednesday and appointment with Dr Yip on Monday 10 May to see if I might participate in trials of new drug. Lynne is proving a tower of love and support for me in this difficult time...she has my undying appreciation and love back in return.
