Ready to start up again

Well, I have had a week off of chemotherapy. The severe skin outbreaks on my feet and hands have subsided, though it is quite obvious where they have been, with a residual discolouration beneath the skin. Today I gave my weekly blood sample for check up, and provided the doctors agree that my skin condition is OK and the blood counts are good, then it will be into the Cycle 3 tomorrow.
Since the last post I have heard directly from the blogger GARPET who has passed on invaluable advice based on his Canberra experience of tackling gastric cancer. At his suggestion I subscribed to the esophageal cancer mailing list of ACOR [Association of Cancer Online Resources] at http://www.acor.org/mailing.html. My introductory post there elicited two return posts at the mailing list and five direct emails of support and encouragement!!!
I feel OK, main discomfort now is a recurrent stomach ache which
can come and go with no real pattern, though coffee does seem to trigger it.
