C3, D1. Went in to the Zita Mary Oncology clinic this morning. After consultation with stand in doctor and an all clear from the blood counts, it was a case of hunkering down for a day in the 'office'. I was there from 10h30 to 16h30 and got the usual chemotherapy dose along with hydration and antinausea tablets and IV drip. Am home now with my 5FU pump squeezing out the Agent Orange across the fields of cancer cells. I really felt rather unwell throughout the day, especially an upset stomach, though I feel better now. Passed the time chatting with fellow patients Ros from Cooma and Ellen from Canberra. Have just swallowed my dose of 'liquid sawdust' as I have dubbed the slippery elm bark infusion and will retire to bed!!!
Sweet dreams with someone you love.

Sounds like you're staying strong, Peter. I'll be watching your progress and wishing the very best.
I'm glad you found the EC discussion group. It's an amazing source of support and information. It's also where I found the link to your blog.
My name is Susan Morris. I lost my 37-year-old brother and a favorite uncle to EC. Another uncle, my sister (now deceased) and I have tested positive for Barrett's. My point being: EC does run in some families and your children should be alert.
Probably one of the most important aspects of the EC forum is learning that many people do beat the disease. I think you are going to, as well!
Best regards,
Susan
hi pa, happy bday for today (17 dec)! 62 not out! I read Susan's note and I have sent off my form to the Alfred requesting a time for a gastroscaphy (?) as a precautionary measure. love
