The visit to Dr Yip last week ticked all the right boxes and set me up for a follow on CT scan in about March next year. His view was that if there are no adverse symptoms there is no need to do any further tests..so no gastroscopy. My blood tests showed a marginally low red blood cell count, so that a boost to my iron intake is recommended. Several of the very unpleasant symptoms I complained of last week have quickly disappeared, in particular the head reverberations. The dry mouth seems as persistent as ever. Energy levels are OK, and I seem to be in a holding pattern right now which is quite tolerable.
So, we blaze on, my 64th birthday has ticked over, 2010 looms and February will mark the 2nd anniversary of my surgery.
I note that Mary McKillop is due to be elevated to sainthood with the validation of one of her miracles being the cure of a patient with terminal cancer. Cardinal Pell of Sydney assures us that prayer can indeed cure cancer.
If all goes well this may be the last post for three months!!!
A happy & healthy New Year to all.
